Melbourne Digital Concert Hall: Schubert’s Momentous Last Piano Sonata This concert is for all Friends and Music Lovers – including out-of-town and overseas friends, Despite Covid’s continuing efforts to cancel all my concerts, I’m excited to announce on very short notice my performance in just over two weeks with Melbourne Digital Concert Hall. When asked to present a 45-minute program, the first work that jumped into my mind was the incomparable last Schubert piano sonata in Bb Major, D 985. It is a brilliant four-movement work, and in my opinion, the greatest of his sonatas. I am happy to be sharing this with you on a digital platform, thanks to Chris, Adele, and the rest of the team at MDCH. Unfortunately, there will be no live audience invited. It’s all we have at the moment. Please come share this music with me. You all feel so very far away. Remember, if the time or date is inconvenient, all you have to do is purchase the AUD $24 ticket anytime before the concert begins. It will be available for a single viewing for 72 hours from the morning after the concert! Hope to ‘see you’ there! |
