“Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh, my!” Intimate Recitals

Coming up in late March, the Laussade Studio is happy to be offering live music at long last! Cellist Luke Severn, known to many of you from previous concerts, joins me once again for a lovely program of two important and challenging staples of the cello/piano repertoire.

This time we present a program we affectionately call Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh, my! Our title refers to a scene from The Wizard of Oz where Dorothy and her motley crew face their fears and venture into the wild unknowns of the forest. Luke chose Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata as his greatest “fear,” and I selected the Rachmaninov Sonata as mine.

A wholesome experience with a concert in an intimate setting, you will get to meet and greet the artists afterwards at a party where you will enjoy a sumptuous homemade feast.
