‘Dearly Beloved’ Rising Stars Recital with Luke Severn

Although Luke Severn is well-known to the Laussade Studio recitals as a cellist, he returns as a rising star for the second time – but now as a vocalist! ‘Dearly Beloved’ will offer a mixed program of pieces written for loved ones: Beethoven’s ‘An die ferne Geliebte’ for voice and piano and a premiere of a commissioned work by William James Schmidt for cello and piano. I will play a selection of song transcriptions for piano solo, and then Luke will join me on cello for the Franck Sonata. This young man has just too much talent!

Come hear sublime masterpieces and enjoy an intimate soiree with great music and wonderful friends. As always, there will be a fabulous party afterwards to which you are invited.
