Programme
The concert explores themes of destiny, conflict, beauty and resilience:
- Saint-Saëns — Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah: A dramatic, energetic opening with West Asian influences.
- Beethoven — Piano Concerto No. 3: Performed by resident soloist Elyane Laussade; a brooding and intense concerto, moving from tension to a fiery finale.
- Tchaikovsky — Symphony No. 4: A powerful four-movement work centred on the theme of fate, travelling through despair, joy, tenderness and triumph. B

In short: Fate is a dramatic orchestral programme built around three major works, combining a virtuosic piano concerto with two highly theatrical pieces by Saint-Saëns and Tchaikovsky. Bbendigosymphonyorchestra.org.au
