First Responders in the Arts

When COVID-19 closed the doors of theatres and venues across Australia, thousands of artists and stage crews suddenly found themselves without work.

Join the live studio audience or follow the livestream on Melbourne Digital Concert Hall (MDCH) to hear the inspiring stories of five first-responding arts managers who successfully harnessed technology to support their industry. In an open panel discussion, speakers will explore how COVID-19 has impacted different arts organisations and whether (or not!) they really want to go back to how things were pre-pandemic.

Following the discussion, both live and online audiences will enjoy a captivating 45-minute performance from acclaimed pianist, Elyane Laussade, including works by Mozart, Chopin, Debussy and more.

Date: Wednesday 28 April 2021

Time: 1 pm – 2.30pm

Venue: Athenaeum 2 Studio and Digital Hub Upstairs, 188 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000
